Prioritising emission reductions

Once you know where emissions come from, the question becomes where to act first. A simple way to compare options.

Start with the largest sources

Effort is best spent where the totals are biggest. A ranked breakdown by category shows quickly which areas deserve attention.

Compare impact and effort

For each option, estimate how much it could reduce emissions and how much cost, time and organisational change it needs. Quick, high-impact actions come first.

Link reductions to business value

Many reductions, especially in energy and fuel, also reduce operating cost. Presenting both together makes the case easier to approve.

Track what you did

Record each action and re-measure afterwards, so the next planning cycle is based on results rather than assumptions.
